you're alone.
7:18 PM

The applause faded, silence entered.
Emotion stirred, lost in his own World.
Eyes focused, he was on his own
Tension aroused, he knows not what to do.

The first words said; the first note played.
This is the beginning and the end.
Continue, or it'd be a squander.
Since there's no turning back.

Memories flashed before him.
He was engulfed in his own work.
A dream that he'd never want to wake up from,
Left him blank and alone.

Questions filled his mind.
Perhaps, faster than a lightning strike.
There doesn't seemed to be an answer for them,
As he was left stranded, all alone.

A sudden fumble was heard from the front.
A sign of distress could be seen on his face.
Only then he heard another voice from afar,
"Move on confidently and all will be over."

The last note played; The crowd took over.
Applause filled the hall, a mark of completion.
Every thing ended in a split of a second.
He was left, lost for words.

He stood up and faced the crowd.
His steps, heavy.
His head's spinning; His hand's tired.
He bowed.

No sound was heard for the next few moments.
Thoughts of what happened ran through him.
He recalls nothing.
Except the dream-like vision that flashed before him.

He found respite amidst the cheering.
Quiet as it seemed, he closed his eyes.
A whole new World of memories laid in front of him.
He took on the path and walked towards the misty surroundings.

"What are you doing?"
He found himself brought back into reality.
The crowd continued to cheer; The music continued playing.
Once again, he was lost in reality, alone.

The piano recital ended quite smoothly last night.
It all started in Esplanade on March 28th, 2007 when our teacher suddenly announced that a piano recital should be held somewhere, sometime. And so it really happened. It was, in overall, quite a success despite the occasional hiccups of the performers (the class). Loneliness and resentments were inevitable, but all in all, I'd like to experience it all again (I must have gone insane last night)!
